Criminal Defence Barrister

Ashley is a barrister specialising in criminal defence. She regularly appears in the District and High Courts, representing defendants at all stages of criminal proceedings.

With an uncompromising approach to preparing every defence, she offers pragmatic advice and brings a persuasive yet compassionate approach to her written and oral advocacy.

She began her legal career working for a leading criminal barrister, gaining extensive experience across the full spectrum of criminal law. She has particular expertise in sexual and violence allegations, as well as objectionable publications and drugs charges.

Based in Auckland, she is a member of Sentinel Chambers, a group of specialist criminal barristers.

Ashley is available for private instruction and is an approved legal aid provider (PAL 2).
